My Pigeon

I know some people call them "Rats with wings" but i'm of the Sesame Street generation and Bert taught me that pigeons are really cool. There is one at the bus depot in Hamilton (main terminal) that i've fallen in love with. Look at her. Or him. I don't like to call living beings "its" so lets call her a her. First of all, she has a snow white base feather colour. She has what i like to think of as party feathers. They are white with speckles of brown. Around her neck the brown intensifies into a rich hue with that classic purple/green shimmer that pigeons have. Some times she has lots of company and other times she's a lone pigeon. She's one of the smaller ones i've seen. If i've been to the store i always pull out the heals of the bread to feed her (much to the dismay and disgust of most of the other people).... but look at her! How can i resist. I wish she would let me feed her by hand and then perhaps touch her.. and before you know it we would be best of friends and she would live in a bird house mansion in my back yard that i would make just for her (and any friends she wanted to bring). She has no idea how she makes my day. Today i had to just catch my bus with no time to sit. I looked for her as i rushed by but she wasn't there. I love her.
Ok... i thought i was done but i'm not. The picture is blurry so you just get a vague idea of how beautiful she is. I think i'll buy her some bird seed and hope that it doesn't get me kicked out of the bus terminal. Ok, for real, i'm done. I love her and hope to see her soon. She makes my trips into town a real treat. Ok, done.

Back in the Saddle

Getting home and back in the groove. I decided today to say "To Hell" with the consequences, i was walking down the Warwick side of the trail. It ended up being not scary at all and quite pretty. It took awhile to get to the "traily" part of it so i will be saving future adventures for when i have more stamina.

Blue has become pussified. He is just nerdus to walk! I carried him the whole way there and most of the way back. Bless his tiny little chicken heart.

So, i think this flower is a Morning Glory. I don't know and i haven't bothered to google "morning glory" and i don't even plan on it. I love the name and i want these to be them. They look really amazing when they are blooming with the red Hibiscus. These today were on their own and quite loverly.

The other picture is were the path started to get "pathy". BTW, pathy=traily. They are interchangeable. I didn't go but a smidge into the path part and turned around and sat on a concrete water collecting thingy for a bit and snapped these pics (and hoped that someone from Ord Rd wouldn't machete me in the back). I kid. Sort of. Really, it was quite clean and just like the other path i walk :)
